That's right! Well, sort of I still just want monster girls lol, but you can give me anything:

- Basic ideas (monster girl types, adjectives, colors...whatever lol)

- Fanart (they don't need to be a monster girl - I can turn them into a monster girl)

- Original characters (gasp!)

The main thing though is that these are not commissions, so you don't get to choose anything for the fanart or original character choice. I'll choose the pose, the emotion, who else is with them (aka if I put them with one of my original characters)...but I'll do my best to keep them in-character. This means if you give me an OC I'll do some research into them~

These are also all sketches, so they'll be rough~

"How do I make a request?"

Comment on this journal (no where else and no notes) with a simple description of what you want.

- For fanart and original characters, this means their name and a reference image ONLY - no detailed descriptions

- For fanart you can request they be a certain type of monster girl, but I'll decide the details (so you can just say "slime girl" or "harpy")

- For basic ideas, have fun! I choose the pose, but you're welcome to choose the body type, colors, monster girl type, etc.

"How can I increase my chances of being picked?"

I'll choose which ones I do based on which ones inspire me the most, but you can better your odds:

- I like bright colors

- I like sparkles (if it doesn't have sparkles...it will after I'm done with it lol)

- I like drawing food lol

- I love slime girls, nagas, and mermaids

- I don't entirely care for anthros (animal facial features)

- I'm less likely to do fanart of something I don't know (check out my favorites 'Fanart' folder if you're curious as to what I know/like)

"How many are you doing?"

I dunno lol - however many I feel like and have time for~

Summer Projects and Commissions

I'm officially on summer break! I won't bore you with the details of the end of the school year - it was awful lol. I'm super excited to share with you some of the bigger art projects I have going on this summer. I'm buying a new desktop and finally getting a Wacom Cintiq! I'm finally taking the leap with it because this summer I'm the concept artist/artist for a video game!!! The game will take a long time to make, since we're just a team of three, but it will be put onto Steam when it's done. To hype you all up I'll be posting concept art from time to time. The best part? THERE'S MONSTER GIRLS IN IT

Summer break also means summer commissions! I will first open up Slarch commissions, giving those priority. Then I will open sketch commissions, of which there will be unlimited slots, and professional commissions, of which there will be 2 slots. Commissions will open later this week after I've had my nasal surgery (oh yeah - I'm getting nasal surgery lol).

Yeah...let's address the elephant in the room...

Skip to the end if you want to know where I'm at with DA, but don't want to read me bitching about it.

This new DeviantArt is a heaping pile of shit. I've been on DeviantArt for almost 15 years now, and sure - I bitched about all the other updates. But you know what the other updates DIDN'T do? They didn't take away your creative expression. This update is nothing but an utter BETRAYAL by the fucking morons running this site. This is an ART WEBSITE, where creative expressions should be the first priority. But no - instead they've stripped us of years of customizing our pages. ALL of my custom widgets have been permanently deleted. All the customization I added to my journals is gone. You can't even use a journal skin anymore. You can't feature your journal on your profile, which was my (and many others') primary way of communicating to EVERYONE (it's under your posts, but it's minimized and you can't move it to the very top). You can't add links to your featured artwork or folders on the front page - they're just blank. Friends list is GONE. Comment signatures are GONE - when I go into settings it's there, but none of my comments have it.

And all this change for what? Oooooo, we can add backgrounds to our art! So amazing, wow, I'm shook.

Statuses now take up half of my fucking page. You can't control the size of anything. Going through deviations is a fucking chore. Instead of just easily clicking the 'X' to remove any deviations I didn't care about, I now get to play a fun minigame where the 'X' jumps around with each new deviation!

All of this brings me to the next point...

As a core member, what the fuck am I even paying for? EVERYONE can view 120+ deviations now, so that's gone. I can't customize my journals. You DELETED everything I customized with my membership previously. So what? Am I paying to go through and redo my page? What a privilege.

"You knew the new DA was coming - why didn't you transfer your things before the switch while you had a chance?"

Yeah, you're right. I fucked up. But honestly I did not think it would be THIS bad. I gave DeviantArt the benefit of the doubt. Shit, I even just renewed my membership for another year. I believed in them, though I was pessimistic. Pessimistic optimism lol. But they did nothing but disappoint.

So where am I at?

My fanbase has never been bigger than it is right now, and I love and appreciate all of you. I will continue to post art, but my activity here will probably be even less than what it is now. This is honestly because this new DA depresses the fuck out of me. I legitimately feel like a part of my heart and soul has been destroyed. I can't explain how much DA was a part of my life before Eclipse. I've got shirts, I got the Fella plush. I posted all my major life events. I've met some of my best friends here. But DA doesn't seem the care about this, and thus I can't seem to care anymore either. It seems like all they care about is creating a "professional" website, but they didn't realize that what made this site special was how casual it is. Not only that, but as a high school teacher, I can tell you that NO ONE is using this site - my art students don't even know it exists, and if they do it has nothing but a bad reputation. DA missed it's chance to stay relevant YEARS ago.

But there is one thing I will always care about - you.

I'm sorry in advanced if my lack of response to your comments/replies/notes gets you down, but know that I read everything. Even if I just leave a like on what you've posted, understand that there is a lot of love behind it.

DeviantArt may have gotten rid of the friends list, but that doesn't mean you aren't still in my heart
