figure i'll take a break every time i get a piece for someone done. just so i can get some of my stuff that's been sitting around done (this sketch, for example, was done LAST summer).
i decided to challenge myself to only use purple to shade everything. her hair is shaded with darker brown, but it has purple in it. i also forced myself to only use my tablet. i am very pleased lol. i was able to put in so many more details than usual.
as for the piece itself - i thought it was odd that i didn't have a fully colored, actual good pic of my absolute favorite character, the amazing mai shiranui from the video game 'king of fighters'.
lol, and of course: at this year's fanime con i got myself a new mai statue. i'll take photos of her once the weather clears up
