Just Take Your Time

Ninth piece done for the gallery my friends and I are putting together. For the gallery we are doing our own version of 'Fantasia' where we blindly listen to music (aka we've never heard it/don't know the title/don't know the artist) and then illustrate what it makes us think of and/or feel. I don't have a link to the song this one is based on (since, again, I don't even know the title of the song for the sake of the project), but I will add it when it is revealed to me.

Not many of you follow my Tumblr, but that's where I post all of my personal day-to-day things (which is why I don't update my journal that often anymore). I've been posting about how depressed and lonely I am lately, though. A lot is going on, and it just keeps building and building. My guinea pig has a lump next to her breast, the 23rd is coming up (the 1st anniversary of the death of my dog, Kirby), I experienced some hurtful discrimination due to my education level, I had to deal with some scary stuff at the high school I work at, the gallery is getting a little stressful, and I just plain feel lonely all the time. Because of this I'm arranging a meeting with my teacher to seriously discuss some things and am going to arrange to meet with my psychologist again. Hanging out with my friends helps tremendously, but depression is the kind of thing that just decides when it wants to appear and you can't really fight it.

But I've begun to help myself by just stopping and breathing. I go out and do things I want to. I deal with the things that stress me out so I can get on with the things that make me happy. I just remember to take my time.
