Emergence - Celestial Dragon

RebeccaBrogden has invited me to join the Enchanted Visions project, and to do so I need to complete 4 of their previous themes.  So, here's my first submission: Emergence.

A summoner stands at the edge of a cliff, gazing at the wonder she has just conjured.  Stars explode in brightness, visible in the middle of the day, as clouds gather from nowhere.  Out of the clouds a magnificent beats arises.  Though terrifying in nature, his sheer majesty commands respect.  He glistens with the colors of the heavens themselves.  The woman bows, knowing that she has summoned something much more powerful than herself, but still cannot help but shiver from excitement.  Perhaps in her tired venture for power, she herself has summoned a god.  And as the summoner, she is the commander.

I love gigantic dragons~ This was originally an image of Jörmungandr, but I decided to just make it a celestial dragon.  I wanted to continue to practice my digital painting skills, this time with a finished piece instead of a sketch.  I'm actually surprised how much faster I can do a painting.  I guess it's because it doesn't have any lines (which normally take a lot of time to draw and clean-up once I start adding color).  I added my signature, as per request of the EV project.  I'll probably be doing this with my future paintings as well.
